Exciting! I'll be thinking about you tomorrow! We had our first day of SS today, and the kids were great. I forget how much they DON'T know going into kindergarten. The good thing at that age is that they haven't yet learned how to do things the wrong way yet!
Oh, and just FYI, the Rory/Lorelai separation is really half a year. I don't really like it either (though it's better than I thought it was going to be).

Well, my kids always seem to know how to do things wrong before school even starts. Lol!
And you're right, I got confused and thought that when Rory hooked up with married Dean, that that set off the separation. That was only a mini separation. That being said, the actual Rory/Lorelai separation felt like it dragged on for ages - I hated it.

Tragically... not really. See, usually I have access to a printer or a copy machine or, heck, a work computer and can plan things out. So, other than reading Miss Bindergarten Gets Ready For Kindergarten... I'm out.
That and I lost my book, The Kissing Hand. I'm so bummed, you have no idea.

my favorite advice was from my old vice principal and then boss, "Be confident and make it sound like you know what you're talking about. The kids don't know that you're clueless. I do this all the time."

I believe even when we've taught 30 years we will still get The First Day Jitters. You'll rock it out! Good luck and because you realize the importance of setting up the procedures you won't mess it up. It'll be a good year... I can feel it.
